founders of Backup Manager decided that the physical storage facilities
for the back-up product would need to be world-class and best of breed.
As a result, vendors such as Sun Microsystems and Cisco were chosen in
creating the new product capabilities. The actual physical facility was
chosen in order to create maximum security. This included:
Physical
security in terms of the building premises,
Software
security as it relates to encryption and password
technology,
and
Hardware
router security in order to ensure gatekeepers are fully
utilized
in maximizing system safety.
The Back-up Manager's facilities were chosen in order to strategize system failure scenarios. For this reason, all hardware and software capacities represent dual, and in some cases triple, redundancy in order to fully protect our clients from a single-point system failure.
